We have 2 entrances – the front door, which is up steps from the street, and a ramped, wheelchair accessible back door, accessed via the alleyway to the left of the front door. Toilets are gender neutral. There is a urinal and 3 cubicles.

Competition is the music making moniker of Craig Pollard. Based in Newcastle (UK), Competition makes experimental pop music that plays with sparseness and vulnerability, pitched down samples and orchestral programming, crafting songs that build hooks from within their limited materials. Recent releases on London’s glint music have seen a tentative return to the electric guitar - having (admittedly) felt for years that playing guitar was deeply embarrassing, this renewed interest accepts the way the world keeps spinning and, as ever, time renders all things eternally untethered. New album ‘The Bored Fire’ is out April 2.

Drawing as much from Stewart Lee as Death Grips, M-G Dysfunction regularly pulls the rug out from under listeners just as they think they’ve sussed what he’s getting at. Scorching the earth with anger one minute and humour the next, M-G D reveals himself as a kind of hyper-nihilist jester - someone scorning honesty even as the music itself seems as earnest as can be, or hiding knotty truths amidst seemingly frivolous asides.

Lewys Holt is dance artist who has been making and performing in touring work for 11 years. Their company is called perfectly serviceable through which they make shows and also run Roadhouse, a regular improvised performance event in Leeds.

Holt does improvised performances that blend movement, song, and speech to explore the small absurdities of being alive. Each performance is unique, created in the moment and shaped by the presence of the audience.
